राष्ट्रीय लीची अनुसंधान केंद्र ने किसानों को नई विधि से लीची उत्पादन की जानकारी दी है। लीची के पौधे इस तरह लगाएँ :-इसके तहत लीची का पौधा कतार में लगाने का तरीका बताया गया।  केंद्र ने पौधों को पूर्व से पश्चिम दिशा में लगाने की सलाह दी है। नई तकनीक के मुताबिक, एक से दूसरी कतार की दूरी आठ मीटर और एक से दूसरे पौधे को चार मीटर की दूरी पर लगाने का निर्देश दिया जा रहा है। अनुसंधान केंद्र का दावा है कि इस विधि से एक एकड़ में 125 पौधे लगाए जा सकेंगे। वैज्ञानिकों के अनुसार पूर्व से पश्चिम दिशा में लगाने से लीची के हर पौधे को सूरज की रोशनी मिलेगी। इससे पौधा पुष्ट होगा और मजबूत पेड़ तैयार होगा और इस प्रकार पेड़ पर लीची की मिठास और आकार दोनों में वृद्धि होगी। लीची के पेड़ संभावना रहेगी और उसे सौर ऊर्जा मिलती रहेगी। इस विधि से तापमान बढ़ने का भी कम प्रभाव पड़ेगा। को नियमित सूरज की रोशनी मिलने से उस पर कीट का प्रभाव भी कम पड़ने की संभावना रहेगी और उसे सौर ऊर्जा मिलती रहेगी। इस विधि से तापमान बढ़ने का भी कम प्रभाव पड़ेगा।
